Around 160 members of the Club FADOQ de Cazaville toasted the 50th anniversary of the seniors’ organization on May 23 at the community centre in Saint-Anicet with a little rock and roll on the side. André Picard, who has served as president for the past ten years, was presented with a certificate from the National Assembly by Huntingdon MNA Carole Mallette. The organization also received a certificate from Beauharnois-Salaberry-Soulanges-Huntingdon MP Claude DeBellefeuille in commemoration of their golden anniversary. The new club president Yolaine Lemieux was also present for the evening, as well as the regional president, Lucie Hébert. To cap off the night, guests were treated to a surprise performance by Elvis impersonator extraordinaire Sylvain Leduc. (SR)
