The 2026 edition of the annual Saint-Anicet Festival du Maïs is set to take place on July 17 and 18 at the Parc du Cercle des Loisirs in Cazaville.
Organized each year by the Saint-Anicet Optimist Club, the festival will open at 5 p.m. on July 17 with a barbeque food truck and different stands including corn on the cob and grillades to benefit the non-profit organization. The traditional bingo game will kick off the festivities at 7 p.m., with over $3,500 in prizes to be won.
The festival will open the next morning at 10 a.m. for a full day of family-friendly activities including water games and a foam cannon, inflatable structures, a climbing wall, photo booth, trampoline, and various other attractions. The day will also feature two percussion sessions led by the Montreal-based interactive percussion group Les Productions Baratanga at 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
All the events and activities during the day are provided free of charge, except for the corn hole tournament starting at noon.
As of 5 p.m., access to the site will be restricted to those who have purchased tickets for the evening’s activities and concert. A country line-dance session led by Danse Country Cazaville will get the party started, followed at 8 p.m. by headliners Landemain de Veille. The boys from Beauharnois will bring their Québécois country and neo-trad sound to the stage for a two-hour set before handing things over to local rockers, PowerPlay.
