There seems to be a collective feeling of overwhelm that many people are experiencing right now. With political tensions, the cost of living, and the housing crisis, there is a lot to be stressed about. A small act of kindness can go a long way, which is exactly what Hinchinbrooke resident Cody Cluff did when he saved the day for a stranger earlier this month.
While shopping at the IGA grocery store in Huntingdon, Cluff noticed that someone parked near him had a flat tire. Instead of going about his day as normal, he went home to get some gear and then came back to fix it. “There was nothing to it; I went in, got my groceries, went home, got the stuff I needed, and then fixed the tire.” He adds that he didn’t have any hesitation about it: “I thought if that was me, that would really suck. So, I just did it. There was no real thought behind it, I just saw it and did it.”
Cluff hopes that this made someone’s day a little better and says, “I think everybody needs a hand. If anything, I saved that person a big headache. To be honest, there’s too much ‘unkindness’ in the world so we gotta make it a little bit better.” (CF)
