Costa Rica January 2026
During the parent-teacher meeting which was held on November 14, our students in Secondary 1 and 2 who are planning an environmental trip succeeded in collecting over 500 pounds of batteries and 500 empty alcohol bottles. While that is plenty already, we also received 21 bags of cans and bottles and much more. The focus of this environmental trip is not just to discover a beautiful country, but to teach students how they can have an impact on the environment locally, provincially, and internationally.
Guatemala January 2025
Speaking of trips to foreign countries, this year in January a journey to Guatemala will take place. The students that will attend this humanitarian trip are learning Spanish, as they will be living with families in the town of Jocotenango, a small village near Antigua, as well as volunteering in local schools and discovering this unique country.
Our Frontaliers
Tournament season has started. Our volleyball teams had their first competitions this past weekend along with our badminton players. Well done, Les Frontaliers!
L’Harmonie, our school’s orchestra, performed Christmas classics at many elementary schools in this region. Moreover, this talented group of musicians also visited local long-term care residences (CHSLD) and the Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre. Not to mention, they also played at Arthur Pigeon on December 6 in the school’s auditorium. Guests were treated to the magic of Christmas and a sweet surprise with Arthur Pigeon’s Harmonie.
