Art auction raises over $3,000 for local organizations

Representatives from the Little Green Library and Ancre et Ailes gathered on March 24 to receive their portions of the proceeds from Hinchinbrooke artist Barbara Walter’s silent art auction, which took place from February 14 to March 7 at the Huntingdon-based library.

In attendance were Ancre et Ailes director Valérie Taillefer, artist Barbara Walter, and library volunteers Cathleen Johnston and Louise Gobeil.

“It was great fun to see people come to the library and bid on their favourite paintings, while supporting our local organizations,” said Walters, who is grateful to all those involved in helping to make the auction a great success.
