Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet enjoyed an elaborate Easter brunch with the family of Maurice and Julie Montcalm at their sugar shack in Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague on April 20. Beauharnois-Salaberry-Soulanges-Huntingdon candidate Claude DeBellefeuille joined the party, introducing Blanchet to the patriarch of the century-old dairy farm that is now being run by a fourth generation. The two men spoke briefly about the significance of supply management before tucking into their meal. Blanchet shared a second family dinner with Bloc Québécois candidates later in the day before arriving at the Maison du Radio-Canada in Montreal, where he was scheduled to appear on the ubiquitous Tout le Monde en Parle talk show.
