Members of the board of the Livestock Breeders Association of the District of Beauharnois (LBA) and a representative from Desjardins gathered at the Ormstown Fairgrounds on August 17 to officially break ground for the new multi-purpose centre that will stand near the front gate. Work on the new building, which will replace the dining hall that was demolished last month, was slated to begin during the week of August 21 as of press time. Those gathered, from left to right, were board members Scott McClintock, Stacy Morris, Simon-Pierre Loiselle, and Mitchell Lefebvre; Sebastien Maisonneuve of Desjardins (with his son Victor in front), LBA vice-president Stephanie Maynard, LBA president Mark Anderson, LBA manager Sue Morison, LBA secretary Jayme McClintock, and board member Carl Rember. Absent from the photo is LBA board member Ashley Cameron.
