Century-old toys on display in Howick

The Heritage Treasures Museum in Howick welcomed visitors to its newest exhibition featuring a collection of antique toys and games during an open house event on November 18. Nancy Lukassen playfully demonstrates one of several toys on display which she estimates date back to the early 1900s. Earlier this year, the group organized an exhibition focused on the local history of the dairy and poultry industry as well as antique farm tools. The museum also welcomed bookbinder Martine Myre for a demonstration at the Riverfield Curling Club in June. The plan is to host another new exhibition in the spring.

The museum will be open by appointment over the winter; visits can be organized by calling 450-829-3533. (SR)
