Classical concert raises funds for transplant patients

Pianist and cyclist Ryan Hull pedalled from his home in Hudson to Ormstown on August 14 for a good cause.

Hull was welcomed at St. Paul’s United Church, where he performed a repertoire of classical pieces by Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, and Harmonium.

The benefit concert took place in support of the McGill Multi-Organ Transplant Program and Transplant Quebec. The evening included personal stories from local transplant recipients Gordon Denison and Gordon Furey.

Last summer, Hull combined his passions for cycling, music, and advocacy in a cross-Quebec bike tour to raise funds and awareness for rare disease healthcare and research. He performed in communities across the province, including a stop in Howick. (SR)
