CVIHA St. Patrick’s Day parade celebrates 20 years

March 23 was St. Patrick’s Day in Chateauguay, as parade-goers swathed in green and orange braved chilly temperatures to line the strip for the 20th edition of the Chateauguay and Valley Irish Heritage Association’s (CVIHA) annual celebration of all things Irish. This year’s event marked the culmination of a very busy but festive time for the CVIHA that kicked off on February 1 with the queen selection and Celtic celebration. This year’s queen, Olivia De Repentigny, held court over the procession with princesses Hailie Aube McKenna and Brenna Alfred at her side. The trio waved to the crowd as they brought the parade and another successful ‘green season’ for the CVIHA to a close.
