CVR lauds outstanding student athletes during annual Sports Awards

Chateauguay Valley Regional High School (CVR) recently hosted its annual Sports Awards Banquet to celebrate the hard work of the school’s athletes and coaches throughout the year. CVR is known for its athletics department and is constantly producing outstanding athletes who go on to play at the college and professional levels.

The first portion of the night was dedicated to the MVP (Most Valuable Player) and MIP (Most Improved Player) awards. Every team of every sport at every level chose an MVP and MIP to be honoured.

The night then acknowledged the outstanding athletes from Grades 7 to 10. This year’s Grade 7 winners are Samuel Poissant and Krystin Furey. The Grade 8 winners are Jonathan Anderson and Layla Stinson. For Grade 9, the award went to Ashton Bryson and Chloe Anderson. Finally, Logan Rennie and Addison Wallace are the winners for 10th grade. The Grade 11 students have their own set of major awards.
