Deputy Claire IsaBelle celebrated International Women’s Day at a brunch with federal MPs Christine Normandin and Brenda Shanahan, as well as several mayors, a director general, and a councillor from the municipalities in her riding. “It is in friendship and simplicity that I wanted to bring together these extraordinary women who work in my riding,” says IsaBelle. “This event was intended as a time of exchange to highlight all the work done beforehand by our predecessors, and to celebrate and congratulate those who are now involved in their community to make things happen. This day also allows us to illustrate the commitment, involvement, and dedication of all women who contribute greatly to the enrichment and quality of life of our community, and of Quebec.” (RP)
