Dundee rewards local photographers

For a third year in a row, the municipality of Dundee has sponsored a photo contest for residents.

The theme for the 2023 edition of the contest was “Rural life in Dundee for me is…” The photos entered in the contest had to have been taken recently within the municipality. The theme proved to be inspiring, as 43 photographs were submitted by 16 participants from Dundee families in either the youth or adult categories. The winning photos were selected by members of the public who attended the Christmas Fair on November 24-25.

Dundee mayor Linda Gagnon, along with contest organizers Jean Lachance and Marie-Claire Charlebois, presented winners Nelly Estermann (10 years) and Martine Fournier with their prizes on December 4 at the municipal town hall.

Photographs taken by Darens Labranche-Senécal (18 years), and Corinne St-Arnaud were also chosen as winners. A total of $300 in prize money was split between the four photographers. The images will now be displayed permanently at the town hall. (SR)
