Did you feel the ground shake?
The United States Geological Survey confirmed a magnitude 2.8 earthquake took place
around 8:12 a.m. on July 29, about 11 kilometres from Ormstown, near the intersection of
the Fertile Creek Road and the English River Road in Howick.
The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 5.8 kilometres and was felt across the Valley,
with reports of a large bang followed by mild shaking.
