The first annual Rockburn Village Fête took place on August 1 and welcomed visitors of all ages to the village green of the Presbyterian church. The fête was free to all, with food vendors, live music, a petting zoo, flea market, children’s games, and craft demonstrations. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Tent crew – Mad Hatter Ian Gill, Mrs. Hatter Jennifer Gill, and Alice in Wonderland Kayla McNaughton – served tea and cake. The event was a part of the Rockburn Hall Events that have been taking place throughout the year. A craft fair and flea market are scheduled for September 26, and on October 4 a Blessing of the Animals will take place. For more information, go to Rockburn Hall Events on Facebook, or email rockburnhallevents@gmail.com.
