Sunday, February 8, saw the rebirth of an old Valley event as folks gathered at the Ormstown Anglican Church after their monthly service, to share an afternoon of music and fun with Brysonville Schoolhouse – which may now be more appropriately called Brysonville Sunday School.
With ten performers and thirty-some spectators it made for a wonderfully warm event. The performers ranged in age from their twenties to their nineties, and since Valentine’s Day was just around the corner, extra cookies and donuts were awarded to those who sang a love song.
There was even a contest to see who could “name that fiddle tune.”
The next event will be held at the same place on March 8 at 1 p.m. Come share your sea shanties and Irish limericks in honour of St. Patrick’s Day. All are welcome to join the church service in the morning as well.
