Ormstown Elementary Students acted, sang, and danced while performing in an awesome play on April 16.
The play focused on teamwork and friendship. We put effort into our roles. It was so fun.
And we are proud of how well we did. It was fun to see our parents cheering us on all the time. And everyone loved watching the show.
Grades 3, 3/4, 4 and Learning Centre 2 prepared all the songs and sang as the choir for the show. Grades 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B were responsible for the acting and dance performances.
There were four different plays, with big scenes from each one. We ended some on a cliffhanger, and others ended pretty well. They were all inspired by different types of camp – Daddy Day Camp, the Little Rascals, Camp Rock, and Camp Nowhere.
We made mistakes, but our friends were there and they made it look like it was part of the show. “It took a lot of time and effort, but when you try hard it ends up being a lot of fun. We have had many different people help us with this play and we are so thankful we got to do it,” said Matilda Legault.
Music teacher Travis Irwin (Mr. I) wrote the play and Ms. Joëlle Frank helped with the choir. Mme Geneviève Decloitre designed the costumes and Mr. Chad Campbell helped with the sound effects. It was fantastic and everyone tried their best.
