Born in Charlottetown, PE on August 18, 1932, she later moved with her husband Donald Gosnell to Ormstown, Quebec where they raised their 6 children. Joan was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She attended Mount Allison University and worked as secretary to the Hon. Chester McLure, M.P., in Ottawa.  Later in life, she played the organ in Franklin Centre and was a secretary at the United Church in Ormstown.  She was a member of the Red Hatters, the Women’s Institute and volunteered in many activities, including teaching adults to read.
