Health teacher Danielle Boak has been recognized by the Regional Health and Social Services Partnership Table as one of the latest winners of the Montérégie Star program, which honours those who make outstanding contributions to the health and well-being of the Montérégie’s English-speaking community.
Boak teaches in the health, assistance and nursing programs at the Chateauguay Valley Career Education Centre in Ormstown where she helps to train skilled bilingual healthcare workers who often go on to work in local or regional healthcare environments.
Boak received her award from Pauline Wiedow, the executive director of the Montérégie West Community Network, and Chuck Halliday, the coordinator of community and business with the New Frontiers School Board. (SR)
