Timber Mart G.M. Fournier is among the finalists at the 9th annual Recognition Gala held by the Association Québécoise de la quincaillerie et des Matériaux de la Construction (AQMAT).
The company, located on Lake Street in Huntingdon, is nominated for two awards. Normand Laurendeau, Materials Manager, is nominated for the Loyalty Award, which is presented each year to an employee of ten years who has helped build customer loyalty or team spirit. The store itself is a finalist for the Society Award, which honors an ecological, social or humanitarian commitment that is recognized and appreciated by customers, suppliers, and the community.
The event is recognized as not only the most prestigious event in the hardware and materials industry, but also as the only forum where the best companies, the most innovative products, and the most deserving employees are honored, by an independent jury based on a popular vote among peers. The gala, which will be held virtually, will take place this Saturday, March 20, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
