Members of the non-profit organization Carnaval de Barranquilla en Canada took to the stage during the fourth edition of the annual Festival Terre Ferme on September 21 in Godmanchester. The colourful performance was representative of the Barranquilla Carnival celebrated each year in Columbia, and the music had spectators up and dancing. The weekend lineup also featured Bolivian dance group Mi Viejo San Simon, bagpipers from the Elgin and District Pipes and Drum, Arabic and Brazilian music, Indigenous dancers, a Spanish music and flamenco show, and much more.
The three-day international festival featured traditional acts from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, storytellers, as well as local vendors, artistic presentations, and games for children. (SR)
