The Gleaner’s copy editor, Tuffy cartoonist, and multidisciplinary artist Erica Taylor revisits her experience of the COVID-19 pandemic in Lines of Sight, a series of 36 drawings selected from the near-daily sketches she created during the winter of 2020–2021 and shared on social media, accompanied by short texts.
Working with only a pencil and sketchbook, Taylor lovingly examines the interior landscape of her home, its occupants (human and otherwise), the detritus of daily life, and her own response to the stress and isolation of living through the once-in-a-century event.

Lines of Sight is on view at Arbor Gallery until August 9, at 103 High Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario, Thursdays through Sundays from 12-4 p.m. (Alyson Champ)
