Huntingdon MNA Carole Mallette presented three National Assembly Medals during a special open house event on August 20 at her office in Sainte-Martine.
The Blair family of Blair Orchards in Franklin, the Demoy family of the Cidrerie du Minot in Hemmingford Township, and the Godmanchester-based Genie in a Bottle Project were all awarded the Medal of the Member of the National Assembly, in recognition of their civic contribution, leadership and public service.
The event was well-attended, with representatives from several municipalities in the riding, local businesses, and organizations. Mallette was accompanied by Franklin mayor Yves Métras, Hemmingford Township mayor Lucien Bouchard, and Godmanchester mayor Judith Fouquet for the medal presentations. (SR)
