A festive display of 46 holiday decorations has been added to the main floor of the Chateau building in Huntingdon as part the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent’s second annual Christmas ornament auction for a cause. The wood slices were donated by photographer Peter Dahms, and each unique piece has been beautifully painted or decorated by a local artist. All the proceeds from this year’s sale of ornaments will go to the Résidence-Elle du Haut-Saint-Laurent women’s shelter. Visitors to the Chateau can bid on any of the beautifully hand-crafted ornaments on the spot until December 11. The winning bidders will be contacted the following day and will have until December 19 to collect their ornament from the MRC.
