The New Frontiers School Board is changing things up for the 2026-2027 school year at several Valley schools. The board has confirmed that at least six school principals will be moving to new schools to start the year.
Caroline Bouchard is leaving Howick Elementary School after two years for a position at St. Willibrord School in Châteauguay, where she first began teaching with the NFSB in 2007. She will be replaced by James Furey, who is moving on from Heritage Elementary School.
Megan Martin will return to the Valley after serving as principal at Mary Gardner School in Châteauguay. She has previously worked as the assistant centre director at the Châteauguay Valley Career Education Centre and the Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre. She will take over the principal’s office at Heritage come fall.
Carla Shaw will once again serve as the principal at Hemmingford Elementary School after filling the role last year at St. Willibrord School. After spending a year as the interim principal at Franklin Elementary, Melanie Robidoux’s title has officially been upgraded for this year.
At the high school level, Lina Zielinski has been named as a vice-principal at Châteauguay Valley Regional High School. Marlon Maylor, who started last year as vice-principal at CVR before being appointed interim principal at Mary Gardner School, will take over the vice-principal position at Howard S. Billings Regional High School in Châteauguay. (SR)
