Over 100 people took part in the vernissage for Audrée Bourdeau’s immersive exhibition 1001 grues dans les nuages, which included an origami station allowing visitors to fold their own paper cranes while taking in the installation. The vernissage took place at the Salle Culturelle Alfred-Langevin in Huntingdon on March 16. At least 1,001 paper cranes made from recycled materials have been strung up throughout the gallery. Based on the Japanese tradition of Shenbazuru, the exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on themes such as peace, perseverance, and solidarity. The hall is now open to visitors for free on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. until the exhibition ends on April 13.
