On March 29, officers from the Sûreté du Québec’s MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent station pulled a motorist over for speeding on Route 138 in Godmanchester. The offender, who was in his 20s, was clocked driving at 156 kilometres per hour in a 90 km/h zone. The driver received a $1,321 fine and 14 demerit points. His driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of seven days.
