Drug trafficking arrest in Valleyfield
Officers from the Sûreté du Québec’s MRC de Beauharnois-Salaberry detachment conducted raids at two locations in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield on May 11 in connection with drug trafficking.
The searches took place at residences on Alphonse Desjardins Street and Wilfred Street.
Officers seized approximately 50 grams of hashish, more than 35 grams of cannabis, at least 80 methamphetamine tablets, over six grams of cocaine, as well as ecstasy and crack. An air gun and more than $1,300 in Canadian currency was also removed by officers.
A 55-year-old man was arrested during the operation. He later appeared at the Valleyfield courthouse.
