Speeding in Très-Saint-Sacrement

Officers from the SQ’s MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent station stopped a motorist on the Montée Bryson in Très-Saint-Sacrement on September 9 in relation to a major speeding violation. The driver, a man in his sixties, was driving at 142 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. He was issued a $1,246 ticket and 14 demerit points. His driver’s license was also suspended for seven days.

Police officers also pulled over a motorist on Route 138 in Très-Saint-Sacrement for extreme speeding on September 3. The offender, in his twenties, was caught driving at 147 km/h in a 90 km/h zone. He was issued an $879 ticket and 10 demerit points. He also saw his license suspended for seven days. (SR)
