Representatives from Haut-Saint-Laurent community groups and organizations were among the more than 16,000 people who participated in the Marche Mondiale des Femmes march for women’s rights in Quebec City on October 18. The theme of the march was ‘Still Marching to Transform the World.’ According to event organizers, the demonstration aimed to denounce poverty and violence against women, as well as the environmental crisis ‘in order to oppose a vision of a just, united, and feminist world.’ (SR)
