As club members look on, Judy Lang launches the 200-year-old ‘JD’ wooden curling stone across the ice to start the final tournament of the Morris Craig Commemorative Wooden Block Bonspiel, which took place at the Riverfield Curling Club on February 22. The 200-year-old wooden curling stone was owned by James Davis, a settler of the Scotch concession. The stone is the same one Lang’s grandfather launched onto the Riverfield Curling Club ice in 1975 at the 150th anniversary of the club. (YLL)
