Students across the New Frontiers School Board capped off the school year with special activities and outdoor fun during the final days before summer break. The students at Heritage Elementary School received an extra-special sendoff on June 22 from Montreal rockers The Damn Truth, who recorded a message for the students while on tour in Europe.
“We are in Spain. We are just about to get on stage. We heard that you guys have been listening to our music and following our journey, and we are so grateful and so happy,” said lead singer Lee-La Baum. The band launched their music career in the Chateauguay Valley, and music teacher David Rosenbaum reminded the students that despite starting out in a small rural town, “You never know where your passion will take you.” (SR)
