The municipality of Saint-Anicet presented $6,000 in funding to four organizations during a special presentation at the town hall on March 11.
Saint-Anicet hosted one of two satellite offices for Huntingdon MNA Carole Mallette throughout 2024. In lieu of rent, a certain amount of money was allocated to the municipality. The municipal council decided to donate these funds to community organizations, including the Cercle des Fermières de Saint-Anicet, the Société Historique de Saint-Anicet, the Clun Optimiste de Saint-Anicet, and the Club FADOQ de Cazaville.
Funding in the amount of $5,408 was provided by the MNA’s office. The municipality decided to round up this amount to provide each organization with $1,500.
The presentation of the cheques took place in the presence of Mallette as well as Mayor Gino Moretti, several municipal councillors, and representatives from the different organizations. (SR)
