According to a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, the pilot was the sole individual aboard the small plane. He was forced to suddenly land the aircraft after running out of fuel.

The pilot suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash, and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The SQ confirms there was nothing suspicious about the plane or the circumstances surrounding the emergency landing.
