The Boutique Fermière re-opens in new location

The doors of the Boutique Fermière’s new location on Lambton Street in Ormstown opened for the first time on June 7 – a mere 24 days after the patisserie, coffee shop and bistro closed on the farm. The team behind the Boutique Fermière, including owner Becky Amrein (centre), was in place Wednesday morning to welcome their first customers. Bright and spacious, the new space – in a historic store building with original features – incorporates much of the same rustic charm that quickly endeared locals when the café first opened in 2020. It is now more central, with a significantly increased seating area. While enjoying a coffee and pastry (or specialty macaron), don’t forget to look up and take in the exquisite Victorian tin ceiling. (SR)
