The Farm to Food Podcast returns for second season

After its inaugural season in 2025-2026, the Farm to Food Podcast is making its return. To celebrate the launch, the team released a preview episode on September 16 where they dive into the upcoming season’s topics. It’s a great place to start for new listeners who want to learn more about the podcast.

The Farm to Food Podcast is an initiative of the Chateauguay Valley Community Information Services (CVCIS). Its goal is to take listeners through the journey of food production from the field to the plate. Season one explored a variety of themes that spanned from the fall harvest to maple syrup to farmers’ mental health and more. Guests ranged from local farmers to international experts talking about a variety of subjects.

The first official episode of season two will be an election special that will come out on September 30 to coincide with the upcoming provincial election. Listeners can expect to hear about issues affecting farmers to help inform their vote on October 5.

This season will cover a wide range of new topics, including the fall harvest, wind turbines, soil degradation, temporary foreign workers, water usage and holiday traditions. Each episode will bring new perspectives and guests.

Though the topics may be different this year, the voices of the show will stay the same. Hugh Maynard, Sarah Rennie, Callan Forrester and Jackie Rourke are all back, along with special guest Farmer Phil Quinn, who always has a story to tell.

The podcast is an excellent tool to learn more about something that connects us all: food!
