‘This one’s JUST right’

Two-year-old Nathan Martell tried out each one of the vintage pedal tractors on display at a flea market stall during the Chateauguay Valley Antique Association’s exhibition and tractor pull on August 22-23. He was among the many who flocked to the Huntingdon fairgrounds for the 39th edition of the annual show, which included a classic car and antique tractor show, displays and demonstrations featuring vintage agricultural and industrial equipment, collections of timeworn items, live music and line dancing, and an auction. Wet weather dampened Sunday’s activities somewhat, and only a few of the garden tractors made it down the track before the pull was called off and the auction took place indoors. The rain wasn’t enough to stop the Ormstown 4-H Purples from squaredancing up a storm during their lively demonstration. The event will be back to celebrate its ruby anniversary on August 28-29, 2027. (SR)
