Easter hours for area health services
The CISSSMO’s holiday closures for Good Friday (April 18) and Easter Monday (April 21) are as follows: the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown, the Anna-Laberge hospital in Chateauguay, and the Suroît hospital in Valleyfield are closed both days, including for blood testing and imaging, but their emergency departments remain open. The Huntingdon CLSC reception and nursing services will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, except for blood tests and psychosocial services. The same applies on Easter Monday, but only until noon. The Saint-Chrysostome CLSC will be closed both days.
Art show at the Ormstown Library

Urban Art project

Studies in the Suroît: open houses
In Salaberry-de-Valleyfield at the Pointe-du-Lac Building (445 Jacques-Cartier Street) on Wednesday, April 23, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the public can discover the workshops and facilities of the vocational training programs in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics, retail butchery, accounting, welding-assembly, sales-consulting, hairdressing, PSW, secretarial services, health assistance and nursing, as well as legal secretarial service and business ASPs, and vocational studies (AEP). In Beauharnois at the Moissons building (260 Gagnon Street) on Friday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., welcome spring with the annual “Moisson en Fleurs” exhibition. The plant sale is always popular – students from the horticulture programs will sell plants they have grown, and visitors can buy annuals, perennials, vegetables, and herbs with cash or Interac. Guests will be able to explore the facilities at the Moissons building and learn more about the DEP programs offered in the agricultural and horticulture sectors like landscaping, gardening, horticultural production, animal production (dairy or equine), pruning, and agricultural mechanics.
A supercalifragilistic show
École de Danse Neva Shelton will present Mary Poppins on May 3 at 7 p.m. and May 4 at 2 p.m. at CVR in Ormstown. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 5 years – cash only, please.
