World’s Smallest Animation Film Festival
The seventh edition of the Smallest Animation Festival in the World (PPFAM) will take place on Saturday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Barberivain Centre in Sainte-Barbe. It will present animated shorts for teens and adults from 16 countries in 2D, 3D, and stop-motion animation. There will be popcorn for all! Calling HSL women
There is an upcoming series of “Cafés Thematiques” offered by Residence Elle, happening over several dates in Huntingdon. To attend, call Sonia at 450-264-2999, ext. 230, or email rellesensibilisation@hotmail.com. The cafés will provide a space for sharing, listening, and discussions addressing various themes related to women’s wellbeing. The café dates are January 21 (6 to 8 p.m.) and 30 (1:30 to 4 p.m.) and February 18 (6 to 8 p.m.) and 20 (1:30 to 4 p.m.). There will also be one on March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Hemmingford Legion chicken BBQ dinner
Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 25, as the Hemmingford Legion will serve another delicious chicken dinner. Reservations only; call Lise Brown at 514-705-2192 by Friday, January 24. The meal includes a large half chicken, baked potato, gravy, coleslaw, dinner roll, and a delicious dessert, all for only a $20 donation. Pick-up will be from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Legion Hall (486 Rue Champlain). Also, hot dogs or Michigans are also served every Thursday between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thank you for supporting our Legion, Veterans, and chicken BBQ dinners.
Development of the JDN agricultural zone
As part of the review of its agricultural zone development plan (PDZA), the MRC des Jardins-de-Napierville would like to hear from the public on the future of agriculture in the territory. Registration for the discussion tables is mandatory: REGISTRATION FORM . The consultation will take place on February 4 at the Saint-Rémi Community Centre (25 rue Saint-Sauveur) from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. The registration link can also be found on the MRC website.
Winter fun in Sainte-Barbe
Le Happening Gourmand Hivernal “happens” on February 22 from noon until 8 p.m. at Brasserie Barabas (377 Route 132 Ouest, Sainte-Barbe). DJ, winter activities, campfires, snacks, guided tours of the brasserie, food trucks, and more! Tickets cost $25 plus tax.
