Valley Fest to take over CVCEC

Visitors to the first edition of Valley Fest at the Huntingdon Adult Education and Community Centre on May 18 tried their hand at some of the skills learned by students in the carpentry program, as well as several other vocational options offered by the New Frontiers School Board. The festival included kiosks featuring different NFSB programs and initiatives, as well as booths by local community partners including the Montérégie West Community Network, and producers and artisans from across the Valley. A second Valley Fest event will take place on June 15, when the Chateauguay Valley Career Education Centre in Ormstown will host an open house including community partners, interactive activities, the Ormstown Fire Department, an on-site canteen, and inflatable games for kids. The event will run between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
