Bree and Watson Tannahill

My brothers, Watson and Owen, and myself, Bree, have been growing pumpkins for four years. This year, we decided to hold a sale and to make a donation to our school, École Notre-Dame de Huntingdon.
We planted a patch of special varieties of pumpkins at our farm in Godmanchester in June. We had to take care of the pumpkins all summer long. We weeded them with the help of our dad, Scott, and our babysitter, Carly Ness, and we had to move them out of puddles after the field flooded in August.
We started harvesting our specialty pumpkins in August. We were surprised at how well they grew. We harvested so many that on September 22, we organized a sale at the farm. We raised a total of $515.
We were very proud and surprised by how much we raised.
We took the money in an envelope to our school and gave it to the principal, who was very grateful for our donation.
