Ethan Gaw was born at home on September 25 at 12:53 a.m. to proud parents James Gaw and Natalie Lynn Baxter. When it became clear the family would not be able to travel to a hospital in time, James helped deliver his baby boy in their living room while on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, who talked him through the experience. He cut the umbilical cord and tied it off with baler twine. He then called his mom, Dawn Ebbett, who came over right away. Shortly thereafter, the paramedics arrived and transported them to the hospital. All are healthy and happy to be back home in Elgin with siblings Preston and Ava. Proud grandparents are Dawn Ebbett and Jim Gaw, as well as Donnie and Debbie Baxter, and great grandma Violet Brookes.
