Nancy Anderson (née Anne Martin) passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, at the Palliative Care Residence in Hudson, Quebec. Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael; sons Martin (Rebecca) and David (Sophie); and grandchildren Maïwenn, Lachlan, Ewen, and Kieran. Those who did not know Nancy knew her Scottish garden: a head-turning attraction for those passing through Rockburn for the past 40 years. Whether by volunteering at the Franklin School library or through three decades of service as a school board commissioner, Nancy was a strong advocate of the importance of rural schools in the Chateauguay Valley. She was beloved for her dry sense of humour and wit, which she maintained up to and throughout her final days.
