BRYSON, James (Jim)

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Uncle Jim, James Bryson, 95 years young, in his life-time home, The Point Round Farm in Brysonville, Qc., on April 17, 2024.

Born August 3, 1928, in Ormstown, the youngest child of Stanley Bryson and Margaret Clark Glen. Predeceased by siblings Ruth, Elwood, Margaret and Merrick. The last of his generation, the last Bryson in Brysonville. He leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews with whom he shared a mutual loving bond that will never be replaced or forgotten.

Uncle Jim witnessed and partook in all our lives, kindling relationships and interactions that have ebbed and flowed throughout our lives. It breaks our hearts to have to imagine the future without our dear uncle Jim whom we thought would be on the farm forever.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Brysonville/Allen’s Corners community and everyone else who helped look out for him over the years. It was not always easy with an Uncle who always did it his way! Your help, visits and phone calls made his day. He really appreciated all that everyone did for him so THANK YOU!

As we say farewell to our Brysonville sunshine, everyone’s favourite Uncle Jim, who will never be forgotten, but will live in our hearts forever, let us take a moment to say… SANTÉ! FIRST TODAY, UNCLE JIM!

A private funeral will be held at a later date. If you wish to make a donation in his memory, it can be made out to the Women’s Auxiliary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital — by mail to 28 Gale St., Ormstown, QC J0S 1K0, or by e-Transfer to— or to SABEC. Thank you once again.

Arrangements entrusted to McGerrigle Funeral Home, Ormstown., 450.829.2214,
