Calling all artists, writers, and arts organizations!

The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation, and the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent have announced a third call for projects by area artists, writers, and arts organizations. The call is part of the three-year Montérégie-Ouest Territorial Partnership Agreement in collaboration with the Table de concertation régionale de la Montérégie and Culture Montérégie.

The program aims to stimulate artistic creation in the region by contributing to the development and promotion of local artists, writers, and organizations, while allowing them to access support outside of urban centres. Professional artists living in the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent, de Beauharnois-Salaberry, des Jardins-de-Napierville, de Roussillon, or de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, as well as organizations based within these regions, are invited to submit their proposals to the CALQ by September 8.

Financial support for individual projects will focus on creation, production, and outreach, as well as mobility, while professional arts organizations may submit production, dissemination, promotion, or consolidation-based projects, as well as support for residencies and co-productions. Projects must include partnership initiatives with community organizations and collaborators.

Artists and organizations interested in submitting a proposal may also benefit from free consultation services through Culture Montérégie. Artists and organizations may verify their eligibility, while ensuring their project meets the various objectives and conditions of the program, by contacting Culture Montérégie development officer Jacinthe Ducas by email at jducas@culturemonteregie.qc.ca, or by phone at 1-877-651-0694, ext. 222.

A series of virtual information sessions for artists and representatives from organizations will also take place throughout the summer on the Zoom platform. The first meeting will be on June 22 at noon, followed by meetings on July 14 at 6:30 p.m. and August 4 at 5 p.m. A registration form is now available online at culturemonteregie.qc.ca.
