Young Peyton and Logan helped ring in the country’s 157th birthday with a cool treat during Canada Day celebrations at the recreation centre in Hemmingford on July 1. Patriotic activities also took place over the long weekend at Blair Orchards in Franklin, during the annual Rock Picnic at Greig’s Grove in Ormstown, and as part of the traditional fireworks display in Athelstan.
