CISSSMO to hold public consultation on development plan

As part of the development of its 2023-2033 clinical organizational plan, the Montérégie-Ouest Integrated Health and Social Services Centre (CISSSMO) will be holding a public consultation aimed at better understanding citizen’s wants and needs regarding health care and social services.
The consultation process will be managed by the Institut du Nouveau Monde, a neutral and independent non-profit organization with specialized expertise in the field. Members of the public will be able to participate by completing an online questionnaire or by registering for one of several virtual consultation sessions.

The questionnaire will be made available as of November 29, for a period of three weeks. The consultation sessions will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Zoom platform and will be organized by the local health network (LHN). The consultation for those served by the Haut-Saint-Laurent LHN will take place on December 1, followed by the Jardins-Roussillon LHN on December 2, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges LHN on December 8, and the Suroït LHN on December 9.

The consultation meetings will touch on five main themes, including: disabilities; youth, public health and general services; ambulatory, emergency, critical care and critical services; mental health and addiction; residential, home support and geriatric services.

“These discussions on the clinical plan will serve as guidelines for our organization in order to objectively evaluate and plan the evolution of the population’s needs in terms of health care and services for the next ten years. It is necessary that this reflection be carried out with openness and transparency, in order to provide us with a promising and unifying vision for the region,” says Jeanne-Évelyne Turgeon, the assistant executive director, support programs, administration and performance, for the CISSSMO.

Those interested in participating must register online at least 48 hours in advance with the CISSSMO, by email at plan.clinique.cisssmo16@ssss.gouv.qc.ca, or by phone at 514-358-7770. For more information on this process, visit the CISSSMO web portal at www.santemonteregie.qc.ca/en/west. (SR)
