The New Frontiers School Board (NFSB) has declared Connor Stacey elected by acclamation to the Council of Commissioners. He is now the representative for Division 10, which includes the municipalities of Saint-Anicet, Sainte-Barbe, Dundee, Godmanchester, Huntingdon, and the Mohawk Territory of Akwesasne.
Stacey, who is a graduate of Chateauguay Valley Regional High School (CVR), was the sole individual to declare their candidacy for the role. In a post to social media, Stacey notes he is “looking forward to this new challenge and can’t wait to get to work representing and providing a clear voice for students, parents, and citizens.”
Had there been more than one candidate, an election would have taken place on September 17. (SR)
