CVR basketball players are top shots

Chateauguay Valley Regional High School’s midget basketball teams participated in a tournament at Howard S Billings High School on February 24. The girls’ team made it to the finals but lost to Lower Canada College. Following the game, head coach Faye Craig made sure to remind the players, “You’re not losing, you’re learning.”

At this tournament, three players from each team were also selected to take part in a foul shot contest. Both the girls and boys winners were CVR students: Hailey Craig and Aiden Reddick. Coach Craig left the choice of which girls would participate up to the assistant coaches, Jodi Wallace and Taylor Faille, so there would be no talk of favouritism. “I would have been happy if any of them had won for CVR, but it was extra special since she’s my granddaughter, says Craig.
