FRASER, Doris Sarah

The family sadly announces her peaceful death on May 5, 2024. Born in Dundee, Quebec on September 21, 1924  to W.D. Fraser and Margaret Templeton, she was predeceased by her brothers Donald and Kenneth, her sister Janet and her partner, Marda Collie. She is survived by 12 nephews and nieces: Barbara and William (Bill) Fraser; Sheila, Kathy, Linda, Marion, Margaret and Ken Fraser; John, Douglas, Tim and Jeffrey Fox.

Doris had a very accomplished life. She studied fine arts at McGill University with Arthur Lismer; obtained a PhD in Social work from Brandeis University; and was responsible for major policy developments in her work with the Massachusetts government. But to us, she was Aunt Dorie, kind and generous, a role model, always encouraging us to do our best. She so loved her cottage at Fraser’s Point. We will miss her dearly.

The family is grateful to Franny Mahangel and the Salvation Army Grace Manor, Ottawa, for their loving care. Funeral to be held at a later date. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
